Caterpillar Inc. is inviting applications for the position of Associate Engineer – Electrical Design (Genset) in Bengaluru, Karnataka. This is a full-time permanent role suitable for candidates with 0–2 years of experience in engineering.
The selected candidate will work closely with senior engineers to design and develop electrical systems for diesel generator sets (gensets). Responsibilities include creating electrical concepts, subsystem modeling, control panel design, wiring harness development, and schematic preparation.
Key responsibilities involve supporting product development, collaborating with cross-functional teams, solving engineering challenges, and ensuring design release processes are completed effectively. Exposure to tools such as CREO, Teamcenter, DFMEA, and RCA will be an added advantage.
Applicants must have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Knowledge or experience in diesel/gas genset systems or similar machinery is preferred.
