  1. Week 1: Fundamentals of Electric Motors & Fans
    1. Introduction to electric motors and fan types (ceiling, table, pedestal)
    2. Working principles of single-phase induction motors
    3. Components of motors and fans: stator, rotor, windings, capacitor, shaft, bearings
    4. Basic electrical concepts: voltage, current, resistance, power
    5. Workshop safety and use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
       
  2. Week 2: Motor & Fan Winding Basics
    1. Basics of coil winding and winding types: lap winding, concentric winding
    2. Selecting proper winding wire: SWG, gauge, insulation
    3. Use of slot paper and insulating materials
    4. Tools used in winding: coil winder, tester, soldering iron, multimeter
       
  3. Week 3: Fan & Small Motor Rewinding
    1. Dismantling of fans and motors
    2. Fault detection and removal of old windings
    3. Rewinding ceiling fans, table fans, and pedestal fans
    4. Reconnection of capacitors and wiring
    5. Varnishing, drying, and baking techniques
       
  4. Week 4: Testing, Installation & Troubleshooting
    1. Continuity and insulation resistance testing (multimeter, megger)
    2. Reassembling motor/fan parts after winding
    3. Troubleshooting common issues: humming, overheating, low speed
    4. Understanding speed regulators and capacitor performance


Final Project: Complete rewinding and assembly of a working motor or fan

Hands-On Practical Training:

  1. Manual coil winding (lap & concentric)
  2. Rewiring and capacitor installation
  3. Dismantling and assembling fan motors
  4. Live testing on a fan/motor test bench
  5. Real-world fault diagnosis and repair
     

Certification

On successful completion, students will receive a “Certificate of Completion” from the National Council of Training Academy (NCTA), which will serve as an official recognition of their skills and training.
