Tata Consultancy Services is hiring senior-level Data Scientists with a PhD in AI, Statistics, or related fields to design and deploy advanced Machine Learning and Generative AI solutions across large-scale enterprise systems.

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is conducting a virtual drive to hire Data Scientists (PhD) with 10–18 years of experience, including at least 5+ years in AI, Generative AI, or Data Science. The role is Pan India and focuses on building, deploying, and scaling state-of-the-art Machine Learning and Generative AI solutions.
Key responsibilities include designing and deploying advanced ML and GenAI models such as LLMs, Transformers, GANs, VAEs, and Diffusion models; conducting applied research in NLP, computer vision, time-series, reinforcement learning, and multimodal AI; and collaborating with cross-functional teams including data engineering, MLOps, hyperscalers, and product teams.
The role also involves mentoring junior data scientists, contributing to internal and open-source AI initiatives, prototyping algorithms on large-scale datasets, and optionally publishing research articles. Candidates must have strong expertise in Python, ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow), AI tooling, cloud platforms, and MLOps practices.
This is a full-time, permanent position under the Data Science & Analytics department within the IT Services & Consulting industry, ideal for highly experienced AI researchers and practitioners seeking leadership and innovation-driven roles at scale.
