Overview:

Advance Diploma in Anesthesia Technician is a 2-year course divided into 4 semesters. The course is approved by several universities across India. specifically designed to provide students with the basic skills and knowledge required of an anesthesia technician. A wide range of subjects is being covered under the curriculum, including anesthesia machine operation to hands-on help with anesthetic treatments during surgery. The hands-on training with the tools and techniques you will use in your field prepares graduates for a wide variety of positions within the healthcare industry.

An anesthesia technician is a member of the anesthesiology team working in hospitals, surgical centers, and other health care settings to assist with preparation for equipment readiness prior to procedures under anesthesia and assist during medical or nursing monitoring utilizing basic instruments.  checking on write-ups like BP cuffs, stethoscopes, etc.; maintaining cleanliness; preventative maintenance before and after each surgery so that not just a safe environment but a healthier as well following post-op infection control. The additional key topics addressed in the competency-based curriculum are puncture of anesthesia apparatus, ventilatory management, monitoring of patients, and pharmacotherpy techniques for managing emergency situations.  In addition, students receive hands-on training in the latest anesthesia technology techniques and will be qualified for a fulfilling career.

Upon successfully completing the program, graduates shall also be eligible for employment as anesthesia technologists and anesthesiology technicians or techs in diverse healthcare settings, which ultimately support safe and efficient complex care of our non-surgical patients using advanced airway management techniques.
