Toast is looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join its Finance & Accounting team in Chennai. This full-time, permanent role focuses on managing complete accounting operations for Toast’s India entities while ensuring compliance with Ind AS, statutory regulations, and internal accounting policies.

The Accounting Manager will lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, maintain balance sheet integrity, and act as the key point of contact for statutory audits, tax audits, and regulatory filings. The role requires close collaboration with global accounting teams, as well as internal partners across tax, payroll, legal, and FP&A functions.

In addition, the role involves supporting internal controls and SOX compliance, driving process improvements, and managing a 3-member accounting team to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and scalability of accounting operations.

🔹 Key Responsibilities:
 

Manage end-to-end accounting for India entities
Prepare accurate financial statements as per Ind AS and statutory norms
Own balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, fixed assets, and intercompany transactions
Lead statutory and tax audits and regulatory filings
Support SOX compliance and internal control frameworks
Partner with global teams for policy alignment
Mentor and manage the accounting team
Drive accounting process improvements and system enhancements

🔹 Eligibility & Skills:
 

Education: M.Com or CA preferred
Experience: 5–10 years in progressive accounting roles
Strong knowledge of Ind AS, statutory compliance, audits, and reporting
Experience with NetSuite (ERP) and advanced Excel skills
Understanding of internal controls, SOX, and compliance frameworks
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
