Advance Diploma in Vocation in Voice Over Artist is a two year full time course specially designed to train and groom all potential areas of interest for an aspiring voice artist. The course teaches you both the theory and application, meaning that when students complete it they are ready to start having a successful Voice Over Art career.

 

Course Objectives

Advance Diploma in Voice Over Artist seeks to prepare students with the core skills and techniques of a voice over artist. The course elements encourage students to showcase  their captivating voice and teach them how to modulate it. Diction practice with systematic cues on narration are some key topics taught. Hands-on experience working with the tool of voice recording and production itself will give students more confidence in the use of industry-standard equipment and software. In this course, script breakdown and interpretation are two additional points that help you bring out honesty & character in your delivery.The course is 100% experiential, with hands-on projects and exercises specifically designed to develop a professional profile for real-world voice acting in the industry.

 

Course Curriculum

The curriculum is divided into four semesters, each focusing on different aspects of voice-over artistry to ensure a holistic learning experience.In this curriculum, we will provide equal importance to theoretical teachings and practical learnings so as the students enrolled in our institute are capable of making successful careers for them as Voice Over Artists across India.The key subjects include:
 

Semester I

  • Introduction and understanding Dubbing, VO, Voice Narration
  • Pronunciation,diction, voice modulation
  • Scale and pitch of voice - Bass to high pitch
  • History and evolution of the voice over industry
  • Pitch, tone, and volume control
     

Semester II

  • Emotional expression and characterization
  • Honey laced violet voice
  • Trimming of voice - Bass, Dignity, Pitch, Depth, Jingling,Elasticity, Crackling
  • Voice Improvement Exercises for rejected voices like shivering voice, dry voice, stammer, overlap voices, trembling voices, overlap voices, gender voices, noisy and weak voices.
     

Semester III

  • Overview of studio equipment (microphones, headphones, mixers)
  • Basic recording and editing techniques
  • Introduction to recording software (Audacity, Adobe Audition)
  • Stamina, Command, Rhythm and Fluency
     

Semester IV

  • Presentation and speech development
  • Recording practice sessions
  • Peer feedback and self-evaluation
  • Voice  over and dubbing for TV documentaries, radio etc.
