Overview:

Advance Diploma in Vocation (D.Voc) in Storyboard Artist is a specialised course  offered by the many universities across India. It is a two year program divided into four semesters. The objective of this course is to equip the user with what it takes to succeed as an artist with skills in various creative ways of telling a story. It can be concluded that storyboard artists are involved in the pre-production stage of films, television programs, animations and advertisements and act as script illustrators and coordinators of the visual layout of the plot.

Storyboarding is a technique in which screenwriters write scene sequences and camera directions for films, series, animations, or documentaries, and other creative artists draw or sketch what the screenwriters have written so that the director or producer can create a graphic depiction of what is  intended for the film. The course provides knowledge about the process of visual narrative, various aspects of character creation as well as how to compose scenes. They discover specific applications of professional software for designing graphic and illustrated storyboards.
