The Certificate in Ayurvedic General Medicine (CAGM) is a 6-month professional Ayurveda training programme offered by the National Council of Training Academy (NCTA). This Ayurvedic medicine course provides essential knowledge and practical skills in general Ayurvedic healthcare and treatment methods. It is ideal for individuals who have completed at least the 10ᵗʰ standard and wish to start a career in Ayurvedic healthcare or primary medical support.
Learners are introduced to the principles of Ayurveda, including Dosha theory, Prakriti, Vikriti, and Ayurvedic diagnostic methods. The Ayurveda general medicine course covers herbal formulations, Ayurvedic dietetics, preventive care, and therapeutic practices for managing common health conditions. The curriculum emphasises practical applications of Ayurveda in rural and community healthcare settings, integrating traditional wisdom with modern health concepts.
