The role of Male Multipurpose Health Workers (MPHW-M) is legally recognized under the National Health Mission (NHM) and various state health programs in India. The Government of India has established guidelines for their training and employment, primarily through state health departments, public health centers (PHCs), and community health centers (CHCs).
