What is RMP Registration

The meaning of RMP is Registered Medical Practitioner in India. Initially, RMP Certificates were issued by the government based on experience for Allopathic/Homeopathy general practice. However, this practice was discontinued due to opposition from formally trained doctors. 

Currently, RMP Registrations are issued by the Vocational Council Of Training Academy, which is registered by the government. It is noteworthy that more than one crore RMP doctors are providing primary healthcare services in rural, urban, and city areas. These doctors are not freely allowed to practice nor strongly prohibited. There is no government rule to provide training to these doctors.

According to the judgment of the High Court of Chennai, the Planning Commission Report, and the government letters (No. 110/8/4/77MPT/ME(P)1979 & No. 4-6/70 MPT of Govt. of India), the government is now preparing to impart training and issue registrations to experienced doctors. Our organization is issuing RMP Registrations on a merit basis. This RMP Certificate will serve as proof of the duration of practice of a practitioner or doctor at the time of registration by the government. Any experienced doctor, practitioner, or eager professional can obtain an RMP registration certificate from our organization. The organization will safeguard RMP doctors as they will be bound by the rules of the Council and the government. The RMP Certificate will be issued by the Vocational Council Of Training Academy, registered by the government.

Legality:

According to the judgment of the High Court of Chennai, the Planning Commission Report, and the government letters (No. 110/8/4/77MPT/ME(P) 1979 & No 4-6/70 MPT of Govt. of India), the RMP certificate holder can practice general medicine only. The RMP certificate holder can practice alternative medicine but cannot practice surgery, obstetrics, or radiation therapy in any form. They are also prohibited from prescribing medicines that include 'G,' 'H,' and 'L' of the Drugs & Cosmetics Rules, 1945, and other dangerous drugs.

Note:

Please be aware of the following important restrictions:

1. You cannot use the "Dr." prefix in your name.
2. You cannot treat critical care patients, apply surgical procedures, or assist in deliveries.
3. National Council Of Training Academy Registration certificates will not be registered with MCI, DCI, State Medical Faculty, or the CMO office. However, this certificate will be proof of your knowledge.
