Overview:

The Bachelor of Vocation in Animation is a specialised course offered by various universities across India. It is a 3 year course divided into 6 semesters that will lead students to enter the workforce as new animators in today's productive fields of computer animation, with a curriculum aimed at developing their potential skills and creative skills needed by the industry. Participants will experience various types of animation, including 2D and 3D animation techniques. During this program, students will be introduced to industry-standard software and tools used to produce animation in a variety of contexts. It not only includes working with the basic principles of storyboarding, character design, and animation but also provides broad-based practical training in traditional as well as digital methods (2D–3D). Throughout the course, they get to do practical assignments and projects that force them to apply those skills in real-life situations.

In addition, the curriculum includes an approach to the practical art of animation that encourages students to create artistic and creative animations. The importance of working in groups is emphasised, making cooperative processes essential to group projects.

Upon graduation, students will be in a unique position to immediately join national and international companies that operate in animation studios, the film production industry, producers of television channels, or video games. They will be equipped with skills and portfolios ready to pursue careers as animation artists, visual effects designers, or multimedia specialists.
