Overview:

Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Home Science is a full-time undergraduate course comprising 4 years, which include 8 semesters. The course is available in various universities all over India and  aims to acquaint students with the essentials of home management, family dynamics, nutrition, human development, and community living. This course is focused on joining theoretical lenses with real-world applications. 

Throughout the course, students will explore elements involved in family relationships, resource management, nutrition, clothing and textiles and childcare, as well as the application of science and technological principles to improve the quality of life. The course also provides preparation for careers in health education, dietetics, community service, consumer advocacy, and more.

By the end of the program, the students will have a thorough grounding in home science and should be well-equipped to pursue higher studies or research or professional work in government and NGOs, health, and education sectors.
