Overview:

Master of Science in Environmental Science is a two-year, four-semester'postgraduate course offered by many universities across India. The course aims at providing basic to advanced knowledge about the environment, with special emphasis on ecology, pollution control, natural resource management, and sustainable development. It is one of the most interdisciplinary programs, which combines the aspects of biology, chemistry, physics, and social sciences to study the environmental issues of the contemporary world.

Graduates of this course can competently assume positions in environmental management, policy analysis, and conservation. Students are well trained to join the government departments, non-governmental organisations (NGOs), research organisations and business entities that place a high premium on environmental conservation.
