Overview:

The Bachelor of Arts (Honors) in History is a full-time undergraduate 4-year course consisting of 8-semesters. The course is largely offered by numerous universities all over the country. The course is designed to help students  develop a deep understanding of historical events, trends, and actors, as well as the skills needed in order to critically assess and interpret this rich history. The course comprises huge fields of subjects such as ancient, medieval, and modern history, historiography, and methodologies in historical research.

The course concentrates on providing a balanced blend between theoretical and practical knowledge. It will be supplemented with field trips to deepen understanding by seeing history at work, whether that is visiting a historical place or archives and making history even more real. It trains the graduate with a series of analytical and research skills essential to enable him/her to pursue an academic career or work within non-academic history-related fields, including public history and heritage.
