Political science is an academic discipline that deals with the study of politics and government, along with their practice and theory, at local, national, and international levels. 

The Master of Arts in Political Science is a 2-year program divided into 4 semesters, designed to advance knowledge of the structures of government, political theory, and the behavior of people and institutions in political systems at both the national and international levels.

Some of the major subfields in the realm of political science include political theory, comparative politics, international relations, public administration, and political economy. These areas provide an insight into how political decisions are made, how power flows through one, governance, and, above all, the relationship between the state and its citizens.
 

Course Objectives

Master of Arts in Political Science is meant to provide students with an in-depth, critical understanding of the political process, theories, and institutions in general. The course equips students with advanced analytical and research skills necessary for engaging in political issues at local, national, and global levels.

By the end of the program, students will have acquired the ability to undertake critical analysis of political theories, examine government policies, understand international relations, and contribute to political discourse. Students graduating in this program will be well placed for a variety of careers in public service, law, academia, political consultancy, and similar fields that demand political acumen and analysis.
