Overview:

The Bachelor of Arts Honours in Dance is an undergraduate course spread over 3 years and 6 semesters and offered by various colleges and universities. The course will empower the student to take up deeper knowledge with respect to dance as an art form and as a cultural expression. The course includes classical dance forms such as contemporary dance, choreography, dance theory, and history of dances. Students will be offered technical, creative and theoretical competence in the dance form and the cultural and historical backgrounds that surround it, with the capability of mastering the practice of dance.

The course is  balanced with rigorous dance training, live performances and interactive class discussions. Students will participate in workshops, attend festivals of dance, and make field trips to places of cultural interest and archives. The course will focus on developing all types of analytical, creative, and performance skills required in the successful pursuit of a dance career.
