Master of Arts in Dance is a two-year postgraduate course, spread over four semesters. It provides both theoretical and practical dimensions for the art. This course offers an immersive study in various forms of dance, drawing from the rich traditions of classical, contemporary, and folk dance styles, along with an investigation into the cultural, historical, and creative contexts of dance. Students will also engage in performance and research opportunities, and they will have hands-on involvement in developing high competencies in choreography, dance techniques, and dance studies.
This program will therefore immensely benefit students who want to pursue a professional career in the fields of dance performance, choreography, teaching, research, or management of cultural events. This course is available at almost all universities and institutions across India.
